*Creche and Junior Church facilities are available at the 9.45am Eucharist Service on alternate weeks to the Family Services at 11.15am (A list of forthcoming Family Services appears below)
These facilities enable parents to leave their children in a safe environment whilst they enjoy the worship offered in Church. Our creche is for babies and toddlers from 0 - 4 years. Toys,books or simple activities are provided depending upon their ability and they are well supervised. Parents are welcome to stay if they feel that their child/children is/are not ready to be left on their own.
Junior Church is for children from rising 5 (school age) - 13 years. One group covers children 5 - 7 years and the other from 7 years and up. We work from Christian resources and the children learn about bible stories and how to live their life as God would want us to. The children are encouraged to think about every day situations and how we can make things better for ourselves and others. Craft activities are an essential part of our teaching and reinforce the story or message that the children have learned on that day.
All children join the main congregation for the communion, blessing and final hymn, it also gives them a chance to show what they have made.
Family services are held at 11.15am, and last approximately 30 - 40 minutes. They are held in a very relaxed and informal fashion with much audience participation! There are generally two Family Services in each month, one of which is a Eucharist.
When an 11.15am Family service is available no other child care facilities are offered at the 9.45am service but parents are more than welcome to attend whichever service they choose with their children.
