When is a new Electoral Roll Prepared?
A completely new Electoral Roll has to be prepared every six years starting from the year 2007
How are people informed of the preparation of the new Electoral roll?
Not less than two months before the Annual Parochial Church Meting a notice is displayed on or near the church door. At every service on the two Sundays following the display of the notice announcements are also given in Church to the effect that a new Electoral Roll is being prepared. Those who are on the old electoral roll are reminded of the need to re-apply for inclusion on the new one
What happens when the new electoral roll has been prepared?
It is displayed for at least fourteen days on or near the church Door until the Annual Parish Church Meeting... The numbers on the new Church Electoral Roll at the date of the Meeting have to be submitted to the secretary of the diocesan synod by June 1st and a copy of the notification displayed on or near the church Door
What happens in other years?
The electoral Roll undergoes a process of annual revision to keep it up to date. There is no need for fresh forms to be filled in by anyone already on the roll.
